Since 1991, SYSGO provides operating systems and services for embedded systems. In the late 90’s, SYSGO pioneered the use of Linux in the embedded market with the ELinOS distribution. For safety and security critical devices, SYSGO offers PikeOS, the world’s first SIL 4 certified hypervisor for multi-core processors, which builds the foundation for smart devices in the Internet-of-Things. With its product portfolio, SYSGO is the leading non-US RTOS-supplier with customers like Samsung, Airbus, Continental and many more. SYSGO is part of the Thales Group and maintains a global distribution network and supports its customers in formal certification according to international safety and security standards.
- PikeOS Hypervisor
PikeOS is a hypervisor intended for embedded systems with safety and security requirements. It is certified to the highest standards, such as DO-178B or IEC 61508. With real-time virtualization and partitioning, PikeOS provides all the features needed to build today’s multi-functional and highly-integrated devices. The PikeOS architecture creates a foundation for critical systems, enabling official approval by avionics authorities for safety and security standards. Note that in addition to supporting security standard Common Criteria EAL 5/6 evaluation, PikeOS is also the first RTOS/hypervisor SIL 4 certified on a multi-core processor.
- ELinOS Industrial Grade Linux
ELinOS is an embedded Linux distribution purpose-built for the use in industrial applications. The integrated development environment is tailored to the specific requirements of embedded systems and comes with board support packages for the most successful hardware of the embedded market. ELinOS aims at the timesaving and cost-efficient use of Linux in the embedded field. The product is supplemented by training classes and project-oriented support by experienced developers.
SYSGO’s AFDX is the first software-only implementation of a safety-critical Ethernet stack used in civil and military aerospace programs. It conforms to the ARINC 664 Part 7 specification and implements AFDX extensions and enhancements from Boeing and Airbus. AFDX is the first DO-178B certified implementation of the AFDX specification and can be used as a stand-alone stack for high performance requirements or with a real-time operating system, which conforms to the specifications of ARINC 653.
SYSGO offers training and support for the use of its products and provides drivers, firmware and BSPs according to its customers’ needs. The cooperation can take different forms ranging from the execution of the entire project to posting of qualified personnel and long-term support. Focus of the services is support for the development of critical systems and the provision of artifacts for the associated certification according to international safety and security standards.
