F&S Elektronik Systeme GmbH is a leading manufacturer of embedded boards for industrial and medical applications. The company was founded in 1990 as a design office and started with its own products in 1996.

All products from F&S are manufactured in-house on our high-precision fully-automated production line. Every electronic device leaving the production, has passed numerous test steps, is operationally tested, and therefore fulfills the highest quality standards (ISO9001).

The first ARM based product family NetDCU with operating system (WindowsCE/ Linux) was introduced into the market in 2000. This very successful product family was extended frequently with new, pin compatible members. Long-term availability (5 years and longer), reliability, scalability of the computing power and the extraordinary F&S support, made F&S products find its means in many applications in the industrial and medical field.

In the meantime, further product families like the PicoMOD product family (size of a credit card), the PicoCOM product family (low cost at 40x50mm), but also QSeven modules and the armStone product family (Single Board Computer) became available.

More than 50% of the F&S products are used in medical applications, for example ventilators (anesthesia and intensive respirators), lithotripsy (kidney stone fragmentation), therapy devices (stimulation current, movement trainer), measurement systems (blood pressure, blood analysis, blood withdrawal) and dental devices.
In the industrial area F&S products are applied in machine control, welding units (laser, plastics, point), smokeries, climatic chambers, robotic vehicles, time recording, etc.
F&S products are successful as well in information systems (POI with IE or video playback and camera interface), navigation systems in commercial vehicles and marine applications.

Major customers in Germany and all over Europe rely on F&S products since many years. Our success reflects in a growth of 20-30% per year.

Modern machines, production facilities, instrumentation and control systems provide more and more and still more complex data and information which must be monitored and checked. For the optical display of these measured values, machine data and operating states F&S has developed a completely new visualizing solution which is more efficient than the present systems. Display systems by F&S the so called Display Controller Units (DCU) are operating only in full graphic mode and can display simultaneously text and dynamically redifinable graphics.
Display Systems by F&S are efficient, flexible and cost effective.

The Display Controllers of F&S possess all components for realization of a graphic control unit: interface for matrix/PC keyboard, universal LCD output, system interface parallel or RS232, input for temperature sensor.
