"gsh" was founded late 1987 and mainly engaged in computer aided electronical engineering projects combined with sales and distribution of software and hardware equipment used for these tasks. In terms of simple nomenclature, electronical equipment and software used by technicians and engineers are called "Tools".

"gsh" derives from the first letters of the original company name "Gesellschaft für Software und Hardware."
