The MSC Microsemi SoC In-House Workshop is about to enter or refresh a FPGA design. Based on Flash-FPGAs for system-on-chip and low-power applications of the Microsemi SoC SmartFusion family the workshop consists primarily of practical exercises with the Libero SoC Software and Smart Fusion Eval Kit.
An agenda can be freely chosen or completed by the customer. Hours for one-day trainings are from 9:00 to 16:00 pm. Topics can be: A brief overview of Microsemi SoC building blocks and a check of the installed software Libero. Design entry, integration of IP cores and macros, VHDL blocks and VHDL constructs, VHDL stimuli, patterns, pre-synthesis VHDL simulation using the simulator and VHDL synthesis are even popular subjects. In addition, topics such as place and route, pin assignment, timing constraints, power analysis, preparation of programming files and programming of the design into the A2F-EVAL-KIT can be discussed. The Workshop can also focus on the creation of an analog transmission sequence to result in the FPGA and the integration of a set IP cores. At the end of the seminar the used files and data, VHDL Coding Styles and the acquisition of schematics from graphical tool Viewdraw will be discussed.
The MSC Microsemi SoC in-house seminars are possible in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For the hands-on training, a separate computer is required. The recommended group size is a minimum of four up to eight persons.
