Curtiss-Wright: new Quick Start OpenVPX Chassis program

Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions has launched a new Quick Start Chassis program for system integrators developing OpenVPX (ANSI/VITA 65) embedded systems. The program includes a broad range of pre-configured air-cooled OpenVPX Development Chassis, available for quick delivery, that are pre-configured with the most popular OpenVPX Profile backplane types. These pre-tested, pre-configured high performance development chassis, including both 3U and 6U and a range of slot options including 5, 6, 11 and 16-slot configurations, slash development time and reduce costs while speeding time to market. CWCDS Quick Start program chassis feature OpenVPX 6.25 Gbaud Gen2 backplanes that comply with VITA 68 signal integrity requirements to provide the highest level of signal integrity offered in the industry. The Quick Start chassis are also designed to comply with the stringent power and cooling requirements of the ANSI/VITA 65 OpenVPX standard. These VITA 68 compliant backplanes minimize interoperability risks that can otherwise arise when using today’s high speed Gen2 serial fabrics.

The CWCDS Quick Start Chassis program is directed through the company’s Engineered Packaging division. The EP division also offers assistance to system designers seeking to identify the ideal chassis and backplane profile to select based on their application and payload. Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions offers a Quick Start Program with several chassis models that are stocked for quick delivery. We can also assist in selecting the best chassis and backplane profile based on your application and selected Curtiss-Wright COTS board level products. Coming to Curtiss-Wright for both COTS modules and the development enclosures allows us to get you up and running fast with the highest quality payload, chassis, and backplanes in the industry, and minimizing your risk.
