Trenz Electronic announces the availability of its TE0630 series, a family of FPGA-based industrial micro-modules for harsh environments and pervasive deployment. TE0630 integrates a leading-edge Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA, a mini-USB 2.0 device port, 1 Gbit (128-Mbyte) DDR3 SDRAM with 16-bit width, 8 Mbyte Flash memory for configuration and operation, and powerful switch-mode power supplies for all on-board voltages. A large number of configurable I/Os are provided via rugged high-speed stacking connectors. TE0630 has low dimensions of 47.5 x 40.5 mm. This makes TE0630 fully mechanically and largely electrically backward compatible with Trenz Electronic TE0300 Xilinx Spartan-3E FPGA micro-modules.
Customized versions, as well as modules with industrial-grade components are available upon request. Developed as a powerful OEM module and combined with its evaluation board, TE0630 is perfectly suitable for educational and research activities. Reference design for high-speed data transfer over USB is included.
