Advanced Micro Peripherals has introduced new SDKs for the H264-ULL-SD4 to reduce development time and increase speed to market. The H264-ULL-SD4 is an ultra low latency, quad channel, H.264 encoder on a single PCI/104 form factor board. The SDKs are designed to significantly reduce development time in Windows and Linux environments and include support libraries, drivers and example applications to help developers fully utilize the H264-ULL-SD4 features in complex video compression / overlay applications. The standard Video Recording SDK and sample applications are supplied free of charge with each board and include the services of AMP’s technical support team. The Video Streaming SDK is available for a one-time fee and enables real time streaming of compressed video data over an IP network. Both SDKs are available for x86 based embedded PC platforms as standard. Additionally, AMP offers SDKs suitable for mini PCI based ARM and PowerPC platforms.
The H264-ULL-SD4 provides a powerful and flexible solution for capturing and compressing up to 4 analog video inputs at full size and at full frame rate to the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC (Part 10) standard. The H264-ULL-SD4 can also perform stream duplication to provide multiple encodings of the same input. This allows streams to be created at different resolution and compression settings dependent on requirements and available bandwidth.
