DFI: fanless embedded computer features dual independent 1080p HD display support

DFI launches a new compact design system, DS910-CD, offering low power consumption and fanless cooling for digital signage applications. This embedded system is powered by the 1.60GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor N2600 and Intel NM10 I/O Express chipset with 5W system TDP. The low-profile chassis is constructed of heavy duty steel with an extruded aluminum top cover providing silent passive cooling. A single 12VDC power input reduces power supply cost and complexity for both stationary AC powered applications and mobile battery powered applications.

The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 integrated into the processor delivers high quality graphics with DirectX 9, Open GL 3.0, PAVP 1.1c, and HDCP 1.3 support to fulfill a variety of applications using HDMI and DVI graphics interfaces with up to 1,920 x 1200 display resolutions. The DS910-CD supports 2 hardware decoders (H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2) with full HD 1080p video playback capability for dual independent displays. The DS910-CD embedded system supports up to 2GB DDR3 800MHz memory, Intel HD audio, one 2.5" SATA drive bay, one SD/MMC card slot, one COM port, four USB 2.0 ports, one Gigabit LAN port that delivers high speed networking and 8 digital I/O ports for device controls. This compact system offers expansion capability using two Mini PCIe expansion slots for wireless adapters. One of the mini PCIe slots will support an mSATA module.

The low-power 12VDC embedded system is ideal for applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as digital signage, gaming, industrial control automation, POS and Kiosk, and medical equipment applications.
