N.A.T. : modular video encoding and decoding solution at ISE 2012

AixSolve and N.A.T. launch a Modular Video Processing Backend Solution for digital signage, corporate, hospitality and consumer digital TV networks based on the MicroTCA standard at ISE 2012. This Solution integrates AixSolve’s portfolio of encoders, decoders, transcoders and data inserters, N.A.T.’s NAT-MCH, a Management Controller and multiple Switch, and high performance processing (Intel Core i7) Advanced Mezzanine Cards.

Customers benefit from this technology in the infotainment market and can satisfy their requirements such as:

  • Flexibility: all real-time streams could be personalized with latest news, ticker messages, logo, advertisement, etc.
  • Scalability: depending on the chassis size, 6 up to 252 channels can be addressed with one system!
  • Independence: MicroTCA and AMC are PICMG conform standards ensuring a vendor-independent system configuration
  • Maintenance: all AMCs are changeable in the running system without special tools
  • High bandwidth: Gigabit Ethernet enables high performance communication
