Vecow: extended-temp fanless Embedded system for in-vehicle security

Vecow presents the EC-5500-3R and EC-5500-5R fanless Embedded controller, integrating 2nd Gen Intel Quad Core i7, i5, i3, and Celeron Sandy Bridge mobile series processors. With built-in Intel vPro technology, 2nd Gen Intel Core processors empower virtual management and smart security of PCs. Intel vPro technology allows management remote access to the PC, it is easy to secure sensitive data in protected flash memory regardless of the system’s power or OS. The new 2nd Gen Intel Core processors offer embedded designers a number of important upgrades including up to Quad CPU cores, an integrated graphics processor, an extended instruction set, Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, and remote management support. Backed by Hyper-Threading and Virtualization technology of Intel, Sandy Bridge processors have maximum four cores and eight threads that enhance the multitasking ability. This scalable architecture can be optimized for individual embedded applications and provides performance, I/O, thermal conductivity and power use enhancements. Integrated Intel GMA HD 3000 graphic engine, DVI-D/HDMI and VGA dual video outputs, and dual channel maximum 204-pin 16GB RAM, EC-5500-3R/5R enable winged fast performance and HD-quality video/image processing.

Including 6 USB, maximum 5 RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, CFast , 2 eSATA, 2 MiniPCI-e, DC-Jack connector, 3 RS-232 and 1 RS-232/485/422, and 8 in/out GPIO, EC-5500-3R/5R can apply to most of in-vehicle security and surveillance applications. One of the two MiniPCI-e interfaces has SIM card socket enables 3G/4G wireless modules for mobile data processing. For the best system stability and reliability in-vehicle, EC-5500-3R/5R is constructed with wide DC input range from 6 to 36 voltages power supply. Specifically designed to serve as a safe and compact bulk data storage station, EC-5500-3R/5R series equipped with 2 front-panel access SATA III (6Gb/s) 2.5” removable HDD/SSD trays with key lock.
