Parasoft Embedded announces the new release of Parasoft C++test, an integrated solution for automating a broad range of best practices proven to increase software development team productivity and software quality for C and C++. In this new release, Parasoft significantly expands the scope of C++test which is now available with a set of new features and improvements that offer the most comprehensive set of capabilities for the embedded industry . Data flow static analysis, code compliance verification, unit testing, and code coverage analysis are integrated in a single framework with excellent support for traceability and ALM.
This update includes more supported environments and compilers, incl. ARM DS5 IDE with ARM C/C++ Compiler 5.0 and ARM GNU GCC 4.5, IAR Embedded Workbench with IAR MSP430 compiler, as well as dedicated 64bit version for Windows x64 platform. Setting-up a C++test project can be simplified now, using improved build system integration capabilities. Also, developers using C++test on their desktops will benefit from various usability improvements - incl. improved search for Static Analysis rules, enhanced Code Metrics presentation and more.
With C++test support for IAR MSP430 toolchain, users can easily achieve full automation of the testing process. Activities like downloading the tested code to the target, test execution, and results acquisition are controlled and fully automated by IAR Embedded Workbench C-SPY Debugger. Flexible and customizable unit testing framework can be easily configured to accommodate Parasoft's runtime testing solution to resource limited MSP430 architecture.
