GreenBase Technology debuts the Green Developing Kit GDK-8148 based on the industry standard Q Seven. The kit provide a quick prototyping platform with the module, a 3.5” small form factor base board and a 7” Touch LCD aiming at those applications that hunger for both DSP and Multimedia performance. Both Android and Linux version are available.
Following the Q-Seven standard, more modules will be developed by GBT with full range of ARM SoC from Texas Instrument like AM3874 with Cortex A8 single core and OMAP 4430 with Cortex A9 dual cores. They will have pin to pin compatibility, enabling fast, easy, and economical system upgrade without replacing the whole circuit boards. Various operating systems including Windows on ARM, Windows Embedded Compact 7, Linux 2.6.x and Android 2.3/4.0 are supported by GBT products. The GBT Q-Seven module GQ-8148 core is offering a combination of ARM Cortex A8, SGX530 3D Graphics Engine, TMS320C674x DSP and media controller for HDVPSS , HDVICP2 (HD Video Encode/Decode), and ISS (Imaging subsystem for Camera sensor connection).
