SECO has unveiled its first module based on the dual-core Intel Atom processor D510. Mounted in COM Express standard form factor this platform targets application fields that require fanless design solutions with best performance to power consumption ratio. Medical, Industrial, Retail, Gaming and Print Imaging will benefit from high definition displays at low CPU usage, and a faster graphics engine obtained from the advantage of an integrated video core and memory controller in the new Atom processor-based platform. Another advantage is that the connection between the processor and the input-output controller is achieved through the bus direct media interface instead of present FSB.
The SECOMEXP-PNW module brings scalable solutions by adopting two of the latest Intel Atom processors. The single-core Intel Atom processor N450 supports Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, runs at a clock speed of 1.66GHz, and has 512KB L2 Cache. The Integrated Graphics Processor will also see its clock speed increase from 133MHz to 200MHz. SECO will also offer a version of the module with the dual-core Intel Atom processor D510 which is also clocked at 1.66GHz, supports Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and has 1MB L2 Cache. The SECO board will support 2 SODIMM slots with a maximum memory capacity of 4GB.
